Absolutely wonderful condition hand painted Lidded cylinder jar. Rose Medallion is a style of porcelain or china pattern, that developed in the first quarter of the 19th century, about 1820 or so. It was produced as part of the Chinese export market largely for European and American consumers.
This particular piece is 4" in diameter and 4.75" high including lid. By it's paint style, color, and details, would have been produced in the late 19th century but due to the lacks of marks it would date to pre-1891. No cracks and only one tubby chips on the inside of the jar rim. I am not certain the lid is the original but the pattern and art match exactly and they display beautifully.
